Pune: CR to Run Holi Special Train between Pune and Kanpur for Passenger Convenience

In a move aimed at accommodating the surge in travel demand during the Holi festival, Central Railways (CR) has announced the operation of a Holi Special Train connecting Pune with Kanpur. This initiative is designed to enhance travel convenience for passengers during the festive season.

The Holi Special Train, bearing train number 01038, will facilitate direct travel between the two cities, making the journey smoother and more comfortable for passengers. The service will operate on two trips from each city, ensuring ample opportunity for travelers to plan their holiday travel.

From Pune, the train is scheduled to depart at 06:35 hrs on Wednesdays, with the first trip on the 20th of March 2024, and the second trip on the 27th of March 2024. The arrival time in Kanpur is set for 07:10 hrs on Thursdays, the 21st and 28th of March 2024, respectively.

Conversely, the train will leave Kanpur at 08:50 hrs on Thursdays, with departures on the 21st and 28th of March 2024. The train is expected to arrive in Pune at 12:05 hrs on Fridays, specifically on the 22nd and 29th of March 2024.

Passengers can look forward to a comfortable journey with the train halting at strategic locations along the route, including Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Rani Kamlapati, Bina, Virangana Laxmibal Jhansi, and Orai.

Tickets for the Holi Special Train can be booked at Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters or via the official IRCTC website, offering convenient options for travelers to secure their travel plans.

This special service underscores Central Railways’ commitment to meeting the travel needs of its passengers, especially during peak festive seasons, and ensuring that their journey is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
