Maharashtra to be the epicenter of semiconductor manufacturing with 10k crore investment, boosting employment and economy

RRP Electronics is poised to revolutionize the semiconductor industry in Maharashtra by establishing the first-ever semiconductor facility in collaboration with a consortium of European companies. The groundbreaking initiative is set to witness an investment of ₹5,000 crore over the next five years, with plans to inaugurate the new 25,000 sq ft premises on March 23. This marks the first phase of the project, with an equal investment planned for the second phase, amounting to a total of ₹10,000 crore.

The company is dedicated to accelerating the project’s timeline, aiming to begin Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Testing (OSAT) operations promptly, supported by its technology partners. This ambitious project will not only include a state-of-the-art R&D center to keep pace with the latest technological advancements in the semiconductor field but also aims to secure backing from the Maharashtra Government. The objective is to establish a comprehensive unit featuring multi-line OSAT fab foundry and manufacturing capabilities.

Positioned to harness opportunities across diverse sectors such as automotive, power, and electronics, the new facility promises to make significant contributions to various industries. RRP Electronics’ venture is a testament to the potential for innovation and growth in the semiconductor sector, representing a major leap forward for Maharashtra’s industrial landscape.
